From 1st April 2025, significant changes in the waste and recycling sector will impact waste transfer facilities across the UK. In response to rising landfill costs and evolving industry regulations, Budget Skip Services Ltd will be implementing stricter waste acceptance criteria to ensure compliance with our alternative waste processing partners.
What This Means for You
To continue providing efficient and compliant waste disposal services, we ask all customers to follow these updated guidelines:
- Strict Waste Sorting – Only approved waste types will be accepted. Contaminated loads may be rejected or subject to additional charges.
- Prohibited Waste Items – Certain materials, including hazardous waste, plasterboard, window glass, sand and soils, mattresses, and upholstered furniture (POPs), may require separate disposal arrangements or incur additional fees.
- Enhanced Waste Inspections – We will be carrying out more thorough checks to ensure compliance.
- Charges for Non-Compliant Waste – Any waste that does not meet our criteria and must be sent to landfill will incur additional charges.
- Overloaded Skip Prevention – To ensure safety and compliance, skips must not be filled beyond the designated level. Please adhere to weight limits to avoid service disruptions.
